Mercedes-CSI in Zurich
24. - 25. January 2014 at the Hallenstadion
Suspense, emotion, entertainment!
The 26th event presents a journey around the world making stops in Russia, the Middle East, various European countries and the USA. The unique blend of elite sports and entertaining trials, the program diversity and the professionally staged show, and last but not least the CSI expo with lots of attractions, know how to thrill.
World Cup as the highlight of the indoor season
The world's equestrian elite will honour us with their presence. From Swiss Olympic medallist Steve Guerdat, European champion Roger-Yves Bost from France, and Luciana Diniz, last year's World Cup show jumping winner, who starts for Portugal, down to the German stars headed up by Ludger Beerbaum and Marcus Ehning - the nine international competitions promise a sporting delight.
Ten Swiss riders are set
The EM team, complete with substitutes, has been confirmed since autumn and consists of Steve Guerdat, Pius Schwizer, Paul Estermann, Janika Sprunger and Christina Liebherr. Rewarding an impressive appearance at the European Young Riders Championships, Martin Fuchs received the invitation for Zurich. Jane Richard and Romain Duguet were given a wildcard. Strong performances at CSI Basel earned Werner Muff and Nadja Peter-Steiner entry into the World Cup show jumping.
Around the World
The show presents a journey around the world. From the breathtaking Cossack spectacle to the Arabian horses and camels from the Middle East. With the action-packed Hungarian postal service, Pegasus the flying horse from Greek mythology, the fascinating French liberty dressage as well as traditional Spanish horse dancing using the garrocha. All rounded off with cowboys, Indians and an incredible fire show.
