Co-President of Mercedes-CSI Mr. Urs Theiler explains: "With the focus on the horse throughout the years, most people do not have the possibility to experience authentically the relationship between man and horse.

The horse in the limelight
Urs Theiler together with his brother Rolf, originated the Mercedes-CSI in 1988. With the focus on the horse throughout the years, Co-President of CSI Mr. Urs Theiler explains: "Most people do not have the possibility to experience authentically the relationship between man and horse. For us there are 3 important anchors of our concept that adds to the popularity of this event eg. topclass sport, passionate performances with entertainment and a festive and harmonious ambiance."

Urs Theiler continues: "The idea of Mercedes-CSI has always been to supply a need for innovative and original experiences. The audience is exposed to all this in the sport we offer, in the entertainment as well as the surrounding environs of this event. He puts emphasis on a new idea, a first at CSI: "At intervals, between competitions children will be allowed to ride supervised ponies in the main arena of the stadium."
